Fast Recovery and Winter Hardiness
Trophy is a 4 dormancy alfalfa with a winter survival rating of a 2 dormancy variety. This will give you fast recovery after cutting and the yield advantage of a 4 dormancy. It has better than average resistance to most leaf diseases and leaf hopper yellowing. Our Breeder feels this variety deserves a Trophy for its performance.

Bred for Resistance to Leafhopper Yellowing
Trophy out performs glandular haired varieties under leafhopper attack. In trials designed specifically to determine yields under leafhopper attack, Trophy is hard to beat. Trophy yields well under moderate leafhopper pressure and shows good resistance to leafhopper yellowing. Trophy does even better when there is little or no leafhopper activity. Trophy is not a glandular haired variety. It will need to be sprayed for leafhoppers like the glandular haired varieties to get maximum yields under severe leafhopper attack. Approved by the National Alfalfa Variety Review Board 2001.
