Re-released Due to Grower Demand
Landmark is requested by many growers because its fine
stems produce prime quality hay. Use for short to medium rotation
in colder areas like Minnesota or Wisconsin and for short to long
rotations in areas with milder winters. Landmark has a fall dormancy
of 4, so it will break dormancy a little earlier in the spring and
grow longer into the fall. This will give it greater yield potential
then 2 or 3 dormancy alfalfas; however this also makes it more susceptible
to damage during the winter and in early spring. Approved Variety
Review Board 1996.
